Card Games from the Patents

We have scoured the patent archives for forgotten games, neglected games, and games that never made it to market. These are recreated with modern design tools, not duplicates of the original drawings, and in some cases, new games have been created. Play a new game from a century ago! Games from England, The USA, Canada, New Zealnd, Canada, France, and Denmark. When an inventor wants to patent their idea, they have to lodge a claimn with government agencies. Quite often there is no product resulting from their idea, but that reflects market forces, rather than the quality of the idea. Sometimes it happens just as war or depression hits their ompany, sometimes it is because their idea is too close to a market-dominant product. Their ingenuity, their labours, and the faith they circle of friends and relations can be rewarded as you play a new edition of their game
